Quick Start
Welcome to the Phlox Pro theme quick start guide. Here we briefly explain the necessary steps to get you up and running with the theme.
A simple scenario for a new user would be the following steps:
1- Installation
After purchasing the Phlox Pro theme, your next step will be installing the theme.
- Download the installable package
- Upload the package to your website and install the theme
- Activate the theme using your purchased license
To download the theme package, all you need to do is to navigate to the downloads menu of your profile page in the marketplace and download the Installable WordPress file only package.
Then open the themes menu in your WordPress dashboard and click on "add new" and then upload, install and activate the theme.
After installation, you will be prompted to install the Phlox Core Elements plugin. Please do that and then activate the theme using the license key that you get with your purchase.
Please watch the following video for a step by step tutorial on how to install the Phlox Pro and activate the license key:
All these steps are demonstrated in more detail in the following article:
What could go wrong?
If for any reason the installation failed, please make sure to check the Server Requirements for Phlox documentation.
If you failed to activate your license, please check out our guideline here.
2- Importing a demo
After activating your license key, you can import any of the ready-to-use demos. Just navigate to the Demo Importer menu of the Phlox dashboard and click on the Import button of your chosen demo and continue with the import wizard.
For a more detailed tutorial, please check out this article:
What could go wrong?
Again, if anything went wrong with the demo importer, please check the server requirements guideline.
3- Editing demo
All of our demos are built with Elementor page builder. So after importing any demo, you just need to head over to the Pages menu and start editing with Elementor.
If you need any extra help, please make sure to check out the Elementor documentation website
What could go wrong?
The most common issue you may run into while editing is the " lack of enough memory" situation. First, please check the server requirements guideline. To fix this, all you need to do is to add the following lines to the wp-config.php file in your WordPress installation directory:
/** WP Memory Limit */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M');
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );
For more details on how to do this, you can check out the following article:
Chances are that this is not the case and there is something else going on on your website. In that case, we recommend the following guideline:
4- Updating
Please note that we are regularly releasing updates for the Phlox Pro theme and its plugins. With each update, we add new features and improvements to the different areas of the Phlox.
Updates are handled in the Updates menu of the Phlox dashboard and if any update was available, you only need to click the update button and the automatic update process will take care of the rest for you.
For more details, please check out our tutorial here:
Possible issues for the update process are described in the above article.
